As an animation student, I get to follow my ideas to create projects I am passionate about. Despite this, there is much of the work that I would prefer not to do and struggle to complete without getting distracted. Attention Gremlin is a short film about the struggles with the wandering thoughts and concentration issues when completing the most boring and unappealing tasks required to complete university projects.

The film follows the creature born from a students wandering thoughts whilst trying to muscle through the most boring parts of their project. This little creature wants to get the animator to focus on the fun creative parts of their project. When unable to pull the students attention away from their work the gremlin begins to explore the creative outlets the students would prefer to focus on before finally giving up and letting the animator keep working on their important tasks. It's a short film that uses stop-motion and 2D animation to demonstrate the struggles of issues with attention and applying yourself to the boring, important parts of a creative project.
