Gripes of a Teenage Necromancer

The Gripes of a Teenage Necromancer follows a nonbinary teen necromancer named Juniper who is attempting to raise the dead. They are assisted by Elijah, the undead spirit of their evil grandfather, who wants their help in taking over the world. During their attempt though, an angel named Arella arrives, having been sent down to convince Juniper not to go through with the ritual. The two bicker and squabble as Juniper has to decide whether they want to do what’s right or prove to everyone that they are a force to be reckoned with. 



This short is primarily a comedy but it does also have themes of sexism and transphobia, as two of the main characters have to deal with the discriminatory ideals of the antagonist. Creating this film has been a dream of mine for several years now and I’m so happy to have been able to work on my passion project despite the unfortunate roadblocks I encountered while doing so.
