My major project is a short 2D animated film called LUNE and it is based in the Lake District. The main goal I wanted for this film was to be able to animate alongside a song, so I did some research and found Clair de Lune a stunning piece inspired from the French poem written by Paul Verlaine, I was very moved by the piece and I envisioned 2 people dancing on the lake under the moon. I also really wanted the piece to be very visual as backgrounds is something I'd like to pursue in the future!  

The story is about Atlas, a young astronomer who is out on a camping trip to study the stars and during his research, he comes across Luna, who is an ethereal being who lives on the moon and comes down to earth linked to the reflection of the moon on the lake as soon as they touch hands, she gives Atlas the ability to walk on the lake. This is when the music begins, and they dance around but then some clouds roll in and she disappears with the moon’s reflection and Atlas then sinks to his knees into the water.
