My major project, ‘The Ghosts of Blackthorn’ is a short graphic novel detailing the tension between a community of mice and the mysterious ‘Ghosts’, barn owls who had long been terrorizing them for many years. Through an act of kindness demonstrated by the mice, the Ghosts had forged a treaty of peace, and an era of prosperity could begin.

However, the protagonist, Holly now hears fearful warnings of the Ghosts’ return amongst her peers. She’s more than happy to brush off these paranoid rumours until reports flood in of mice disappearing in the dead of night. If Holly is to save her kind, she’ll have to investigate the Ghost’s unusual reappearance and discover if the peace is perhaps more fragile than everyone thought…
