A 2D Animation Showreel

My final major project for this year was to create hand-drawn animated sequences to the best of my ability, intending to add them to my showreel. A large emphasis was placed on the quality of animation. 

My research involved studying established industry professionals to see how they approached 2D Animation, as well as extensive and consistent drawing practice. I especially learnt a great deal from Aaron Blaise and was able to keep drawing consistently after finding community in online spaces such as Discord and Reddit. 

The true goal behind the curtain, though, was both to achieve a higher standard of polish than in previous years and to refine my workflow and technical skills. As such, I’ll be assessed on Quality of Animation. Layout and Visual Style. Editing.
